These lyrics rule.

I'm self destructing I admit
I make so many bad bad choices
Here's the thing that I admit
I always know they're bad choices

I doubt anybody knows what it's from.

Christmas.

I'm really not looking forward to it.
I've had a few rough months.
I just want this year to be over and I hope next year will be better.
I don't want anything for Christmas.
The only thing I want is Happiness.
I doubt if I'll find it.

BANDS, BANDS, BANDS pt. 2

This is a follow up from last night.

Next band:

Manchester Orchestra
This band is from the Atlanta area.
They have a Indie style to them.
They have two cds, their second just came out back in April.

Live video for their song, The River.

Next band:

Fuck Buttons

This band is a two member band from the UK.
They have a techno/electronica/drone style to their music.
They just released their second album back in October.

Video for thier song, Surf Solar.

Next band:

Holy Fuck

This is a Canadian band.
They collaborate alot of different styles of music.
Mostly techno and drums.
They haven't released anything since 2007, but they are still pretty damn good.

Video for their song, Lovely Allen.

Next band:

Crystal Castles

This is another band from Canada.
Once again, they collaborate a lot of weird shit to their music.
They only have one album, but they're working on their second album at the moment.

Video for their song, Courtship Dating.

These are most of them for now.
When I have more bands to post, I'll do that.
In the meantime, give these bands a listen.

BANDS, BANDS, BANDS.

I know it's been awhile since I actually posted a lengthy and important blog.
So, back to basics of my blog.....
MUSIC!

The latest bands I've been listening to are....well alot.
Let's go through them all.

Matt & Kim
I love their strange, uplifting beats.
They are kinda catchy but damn good.
Their inspiration for their time of music comes from hip hop and all that good stuff from Brooklyn.
They have two albums, Their second just came out back in January of this year.

Video for their song, Yea Yeah.

Next band:

fun.
(It's purposely lower-cased)
It's an indie supergroup band.
The members come from The Format, Steel Train, and Anathallo.
Once again, it's a band based from New York.
They just released their first album back in August.

Video for their song, All The Pretty Girls.

Next band:

Everybody has heard of them.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Once again, a band from the New York area.
If you don't know them, shame on you.
They have a unique sound to them.
They also released their third album this past year, back in March.

Video for their song, Heads Will Roll.

Next band:

The Kills

No, this band isn't based off in New York.
But, they're based from the UK.
Alison Mosshart is from the states, James Hince is from the UK.
They have a indie/punk/alternative sound to them.
They released their third album back in 2008.
Currently, they are working on another album but Alison Mosshart is touring with her sideband, The Dead Weather.

Video for their song, U.R.A. Fever.

Next band:

Brand New

I've found my way back to bands from New York.
This band is too damn good.
They have a indie/alternative sound, earlier stuff sounded more punk.
They released their fourth album back in September.

Video for their song, The Quiet Things No One Ever Knows.

I'll stop here and continue another day.
This is enough bands for one night.
Also, it's a different style of music for me, I've been ditching screamo and such.

Latest Albums

First off:
Muse The Resistance
I thought this album could've been way better than expected.
My favorite Muse album has got to bed Absolution
I still recommend giving it a listen, it's definitely different sound from them.
I give it a 8 out of 10

Second off:Three Days Grace Life Starts Now

It's definitely a different step for them, but you can still hear their old style in this album.
I still don't think it's as good as their first album.
It's a must listen to if you're a fan of the band.
I give it a 9 out of 10.

Third off:
Breaking Benjamin Dear Agony

Breaking Benjamin has got to be my all time favorite new type of grunge of now a days.
Right after them has to be Three Days Grace.
This has got to be their heaviest album yet, and it's pretty darn good.
I have to say this is my favorite album from them.
I give it a 9 out of 10.

Fourth off:
I love this band very much.
It's not an actual band, it's a parody band.
This album is as good as their first album which was released a year ago.
I recommend checking out this album
I give it a 9 out of 10.

Fifth off:

YES!
It's finally been released, Alice in Chains new album, and it's damn good.
I mean it's not as good as without Layne but it's pretty close, William DuVall does a pretty good job taking Layne's job.
They couldn't have found anyone else to do the job.
It's a must listen too, and it's a buy.
I give it a 9 out of 10.

I can't give any of these albums 10 for some reason.

Nine Inch Nails Ghosts I-IV

This album is by far one of my favorites from Trent Reznor.
There's no lyrics or singing in any of the songs, just beats.
Also, there's 36 all labeled from Ghosts I-IV.
It's definitely a different type for Reznor to do.
I recommend everyone to check it out.

D:

I've been out of the loop for quite some time, so I haven't blog due to what's been going on around me.

On a more better note, things are better.

Now, to something I never talk about.....
VIDEOGAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, two games I wanna play that came out have to Guitar Hero 5 and The Beatles: Rock Band.

First off:
I'm hoping it's better than World Tour, because World Tour suck dick.
This time around they changed a few things that needed change.
In my opinion, it copied off of Rock Band so much.
As it says 85 songs, 83 artists.

Second off:
This is self-explanatory.
Play any member you wanna be.
There's only 45 songs on the disc but they're gonna release every album on psn and xbox live to buy and play within time.

I love me some hometown music.

One of my favorites I saw last year ago at AST Dew Tour.
They're called aFREUDIANSLIP
These poor guys had to open for Good Charlotte.
They were easily the better band live.
There sound is a mixture of metal, rock, and hardcore.
Check out more about them at: http://www.myspace.com/afreudianslip

My second favorite is no longer around but still good to listen to.
Fourth Element
Once again, I saw this band two years ago at AST Dew Tour, they opened up for Black Stone Cherry and Saliva. For more info on them, check out there old myspace profile:
http://www.myspace.com/fourthelement
Three of the members from Fourth Element went on to form another band in which they are called The Vanguard Project.
No clue on the status on them.

Concert.

So last night I went and saw two bands I've been wanting to see live for quite awhile and boy, let me tell you it was AMAZING. (to say the least)

The first one being, good ole' Coheed & Cambria! :D

Coheed rock it as soon as they hit the floor and for being out on stage for an hour was pretty damn good. By the time there time was over and sad because I wanted more and I wasn't allowed. (Dangit)

They ended with such a bang.
I happen to find a clip from the show from last night, it's right before they leave.

The second one, and the headlining one being, no other than Heaven and Hell!

It was finally amazing to finally experience Mr. Ronnie James Dio live. It was a honor.
They were onstage for a good 90 minutes including the encore.
Such an amazing drum solo from Ginny Appice and amazing guitar solo from Tony Iommi.

I really wasn't ready for the show to end but it had to. Oh well.

Band Talk

Boy, oh boy it's been ages since I talked about good ole' bands.
This week I gotta talk about a band that has been growing on me and that band would be no other than The Airborne Toxic Event.

Like everybody else the first song I heard from them was "Sometime Around Midnight"
it's rather catchy and a good song.
As soon as I heard this song I bought the album which was only eight bucks since they aren't a really big known band.

I recommend giving this band a look at and see if you like em.

Look for this album cover ^

What went on in the past three weeks.

First off, it started out with staying at my friends house since that weekend we were filming for a movie and it would've just made better since to just stay there. Well, the following morning I was called and informed that my parents were switching comcast to verizon (FUCKING FAIL!!!!!!!!!!) and I informed to come home and try to work on the internet. Well, me and a friend tried our damnest to get verizon aka piece of shit to work but no such luck. So, a guy was to come out that friday but that never happened and we were told to wait to the following wednesday.

THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY:
So, I was told to stay in the house and wait for the guy to come out. No biggie, I'll just fail at playing guitar and listen to music. So there I am waiting hours and hours go by and the fuckers don't even come out. (PIECE OF SHIT!)
On top of that, mysteriously the house phone just stops working and my dad has to borrow my phone to call people since his phone is turned off. (But wait, there's more)
So, once again we were told they will be out the following wednesday.
So let me get this straight, not only is the house phone not fucking working but still no internet?!?! What The Hell?!?!

THE FOLLOWING FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY:
Once again, nobody arrived.
False alarm, we were told to wait to the following friday aka my birthday. (Grr)

All this happens the same weekend (below)

So we wait it out, but something happen that following weekend inwhich my uncle fell off the stairs, outside (just to add a note he was drunk) he was going down the steps when a dog got in his way and he felled on his back. Well, more like the back of his skull in which it crack his skull WIDE open and was rush to the hospital quickly.
Come to find out, on the way there he stopped breathing on his own and was announced in the hospital dead but the doctor went with the surgery and brought him back from the dead.
Currently he has no skull in which they need to let his head to heal on it's own, roughly three months.

So, my mother calls the following Wednesday complaining and tells the previous story I just told you and let's just say they came out within two hours. (HOLY SHIT!)

Summary of this part of the story. Verizon sucks major dick. It is really slow. Comcast owns.

Now, back to the other story.

Oh wait, before that my bloody glasses broke (DAMMIT!) didn't have it for three weeks and POW! broke on me (SUM' BITCH!) so once again, called the place up and I played the waiting game for two weeks.
Glasses are back to normal now. (WOOHOO! :D)

Me and two of my friends got pulled over at 3 in the morning. (Thank god I wasn't the driver)
The reason for being pulled over was my friends light's weren't on.
Further backtrack, the reason we were out so late was we needed food and there was wonderful snacks and three glorious McDoubles waiting for us, along with a few snacks and water bottles since my friend didn't have shit in his house.
So I grabbed my cell phone charger, headphone, and my ipod charger.
Since the only way I can get my ipod to work these days is by leaving it on the charger. (DAMMIT!)
I was suppose to have a bigger role in the movie but things happen and I was just the script girl and something else that I can't remember. (DAMMIT AGAIN!)
But since my friend failed at camera work in one scene, I was in the mirror the whole time. Why you ask I standing? Well, I'll tell you why, I crouched and put my knee on the ground and what happen the next very moment? My knee was covered in dog piss, that's right dog piss.
And to clarify why I am dancing, well my friend, the next room over a guy was playing some music and he was going with the music and singing to it. So I was like, why the hell not join in? And voila! you get to see my gay little dance for like five seconds. Enjoy it, seek it in.
I was told to spread the word of this movie and dammit I will.

Enjoy

Holy Shit, my longest blog yet. Probably will be the last time too.
Unless I forgot anything.
Which I probably did, if so I'll just start a new blog.

INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS!

First off, hands down Quentin Tarantino's best work by far.
Within the first five minutes you know you're in for a goddamn masterpiece.

Similarities

Lately, I've noticed alot of similarities in songs.
For example, Enter Shikari's song The Jester sounds like Wolfmother's Joker & The Thief, only with the beat.

Wait until two minutes into the song for the beat in this song.

Wait roughly until the solo at the beginning of the song is over.
Or 42 seconds into the song.

Another one that sounds familiar is Jet's new single, She's A Genius.
It sounds alot like The Knack's My Sharona. Once again with the beat.

As soon as the song starts, listen to the beat.

Once again, listen to it from the beginning.
Don't mind the video for rock band, its all I could find at the time.

Band of the week

Favorite Scottish band

THE FRATELLIS

First heard this band back when I was still in high school, getting ready to walk to school.
So, I turn on mtv and heard their song called Flathead, as soon as I heard it I loved it.
Weird part was as soon as it went off on mtv, flip onto vh1 due to shitty music after this song and they played the band again.
Awesome

Anyway, as soon as I heard this song I bought the album that weekend and boy was it an amazing album.

Everybody has at least heard of their song Chelsea Dagger.

Ipod no more!

So I've been having issues with my Ipod lately in which it's being a bitch and not wanting to charge the right way.
I had an incident where I took it out of the charger and it kept charging. Dumb fucking thing!
The other night when I was hanging out with a few buds it did it again in which I would put it in the charger and then it would just charge instantly so I said fuck it, I'm gonna win this battle.
Few hours later damn thing died, I thought that was it but NO THERE'S MORE! it restarted itself and when it turn on it had a full battery while charging at the same time. So when I got home I let the bad boy go while I was sleeping, only to wake up to a dead Ipod.

I shit you not that's the exact copy I have.

Time to invest on a 120gb (4gb wasn't working for me anyway since I already had 16 gbs on itunes not including what I have saved on the computer itself, which is nearly 100gb)

So damn, I need to invest on external hard drive and bigger Ipod. If only I had money.

Album of the week

Since nothing really good came out this week I pick Four Year Strong's cover album Explains It All.

Basically, the idea of this album was band's that inspired for them to form the band. All the songs are from the 90's.
I gotta say most of the covers aren't so bad.

There's eleven covers, They happen to be:

Everclear - So Much For The Afterglow
Nine Days - Absolutely (Story of a Girl)
Alanis Morrissette - Ironic
The Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet With Butterfly Wings
Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life
No Doubt - Spiderwebs
Del Amitri - Roll To Me

I could I forget the Jonas Fags.

Brainwashing kids with such shitty music! D:

I stand with a friend and say FUCK MICHAEL BAY.
To add to that list are Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, many more.
Of course, everybody's two favorites Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
A few rappers I can't stand are Kanye West, Lil Wayne, good old poser Kevin Federline, many more but I'll stop right there.

Band of the week

One of my favorites.

ENTER SHIKARI

Coming from the lands of St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK.
I heard this band back in 06 with the song Sorry, You're Not A Winner. But when I heard their song OK Time For Plan B, I didn't realize it was the same band. Took me a little while but I figured that out. Finally, three years later I saw them live for the first time and I gotta say one the best bands to see live.

They have two albums out right now, they just released their second album in June.

The albums are called:
Take to the Skies
Common Dreads

They also have eps out when they were first getting big:

Sorry You're Not A Winner EP
Anything Can Happen In The Next Half Hour EP

Also, one compilation album:

Album of the week

This week it has to be hands down The Dead Weather's Horehound.
Once again Jack White is at it again with another side band, this man does good.
Does he really wanna form twenty more bands? Crazy
Anyway, check this album out, its got a real bluesy type vibe to it, in which after the first song you're just stuck in to listening to it until it finishes.

I have to give this album a 9 out of 10.
it's a must own.
get it now!

TIME FOR SOME LAME ASS JOKES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, where to start..... >.>
Here it goes......

Why are blondes more fun?
Cos you can tell them the same joke twice (lame)

What did Batman say to Robin before he got in the car?
Robin get in the car (fucking lame)

Whats noiser than one cat stuck in a tree?
Two cats. (BOO!)

Why did the bald man cut a hole in his pocket?
So he could run his fingers through his hair! (Gay)

One more from the lamers and that'll be it (I promise)

2 muffins are in an oven and one says to the other "Is it hot in here or just me?" the other then replies "Oh my god a talking muffin ahhhh"

-_-

Random thought of the day

Judging my friend with him having Batman on his blog, I'm thinking about using Kratos.
Which leads me to my next question, who would win out of the two?
Kratos or Batman?!?!
dundundun!!

I present you Kratos.

I present you Batman.

Let the best man win.

(For the record, I got Kratos winning)

God of War III

By far (in my opinion) a must own game of 2010.
Set right after GOW2, Kratos is on the journey to end several Gods for betraying him.
Main one he's after would have to be Zeus, also known as his father. :O
(SPOILER!)

Don't make Kratos angry, you wouldn't like to see him angry. (trust me on this one)

See, I told you not to piss him off, Good Job.

Verdict on the show last night

So I saw Iwrestledabearonce, Enter Shikari, Blessthefall, and August Burns Red last night and it was pretty good.
Even though I just wanted to see Iwrestledabearonce and Enter Shikari.
Got to meet Enter Shikari.
Gotta say real cool guys, really cool with their fans.

I happen to found some clips of last night shows.

Both of those bands alone made the show.

Album of the Week (Double)

So I've been slipping behind, due to being to bored to blog about random shit.

There was two album that I love recently (well one doesn't come out until next tuesday, but who cares)

these albums would have to be.

Job For A Cowboy - Ruination

and

August Burns Red - Constellations

Both very brutal albums.
Defiantly a check out if you love Metalcore, Death Metal, or just Metal in general

Both albums get a 8.5/10

Stumble Button

So I was just stumbling along when I came by this awesome picture

Pretty epic.

Austrian Death Machine

What can I say about them? I'm speechless
such a great band or great tribute band at that.

for an example the song Get To The Choppa

and Who's Your Daddy, And What Does He Do?

Can't wait for the second album. :D
